So good it hurts, ya know?
There are a million and one reasons why obestity has become an epidemic, but MY opinion is that ONE of the biggest contributors is lack of movement. Our leisure time, our jobs & our lives have become increasingly sedentary, with most people spending hours in front of a computer screen at work to come home to hours in front of a computer (or TV) screen at home.
It’s a little nuts.
Depending where you live, the winter months get a little harder to navigate, which is why we need to be vigilant about how often we get moving and NOT just during our workouts. Even the smallest changes help.
Take the stairs. Walk to a farther bus stop. Park further away. Walk to the store. Clean the house. Take a dance class. Meet new people. Volunteer.
The more active we stay, the more active we are. It gets easier with practice and easier with time.
